The Balance Mantra’s Castor Oil is an excellent remedy for increasing hair growth, making eyelashes and eyebrows thicker. Our Castor Oil is packed full of essential fatty acids, required to maintain healthy skin. It is mostly composed of a rare fatty acid called Ricinoleic Acid, around 88%. It also contains Linoleic Omega 6 and Oleic Omega 9 fatty acids, which make Castor Oil beneficial to all skin types, including those with oily skin. Castor Oil is non-comedogenic which means it won’t block your pores.
It has a thick, honey-like texture. It is believed to help protect the skin from environmental elements. The oil is an excellent emollient and a natural humectant. It hydrates the skin and helps keep the moisture locked in. It is ideal for those with extremely dry skin. Combined with another carrier oil it can be used as an all over body moisturiser for silky smooth, hydrated skin. We recommend something light like The Balance Mantra’s Sweet Almond oil or Coconut Oil.
How to Use It:
Hair: Apply a small coin-sized amount to your dry scalp and roots only. Concentrate the oil wherever you are experiencing excess hair shedding or thinning. Leave on for 1 hour (or overnight) and rinse by washing hair with shampoo as you would normally. Apply 3 times per week. If the oil is too thick for your liking*, mix it with another carrier oil of your choice.
Lashes and Brows: Dip a mascara brush in Castor Oil (wipe off excess oil before applying) and brush onto eyelashes and brows before going to sleep, nightly for longer lashes and fuller brows in as soon as 3 weeks. * It is normal for Castor oil to be thick and slightly sticky.
